Your credit score is a single number that indicates your creditworthiness. This number is derived from various pieces of information contained in your credit report. Your credit report is accumulated by various credit agencies — credit card companies and banks and other financial institutions, who pass along information about how much you owe, how well you pay, and how long you’ve been a customer. Your credit score determines the types of credit you can obtain, and how much you will be charged in interest.

In general, your credit score is based on the following:

Payment history: 35%, Amounts owed: 30%, Length of credit history: 15%, New credit: 10%, Types of credit used: 10%
ccording to Fair Isaac, the company behind credit scores, these factors are accurate predictors of future credit performance. That is, these are the things that best indicate how great a credit risk you are

Is Death The END of Life…..or Yet Another Adventurous Beginning?

Is death the end….or yet an amazing new beginning……a wide window into an amazing opening we yet don’t fully understand? Does time really exist as we know it…..keeping our ideas of what a lifetime SHOULD be, under an artificial wrap of limiting thoughts and bounded beliefs?

There are MANY, many reasons to believe that life continues on after the death of the physical body. Lot of SMART reasons, not relegated to simple faith, or wishful thinking, or dubious dogma and religious fervor. Rather, the idea that conciousness is NOT a function of the physical brain, and yet instead….is LIMITED by your physical body, a reduction valve that keeps the spiritual sensory smorgasbord from overwhelming us – the 99% of the invisible world we DON’T see around us…..but science tells us is real nonetheless.

I love to believe the idea that we are SPIRITUAL beings having a physical experience, rather than physical beings that are doomed for death and decay. Check out this cool article from the Huffington Post on time, space and immortality…a pretty smart read you’ll probably like if you’re a spiritual junkie and open minded OPTIMIST like me! Enjoy..

Life is a journey that transcends our classical way of thinking. Experiment after experiment continues to suggest that we create time, not the other way around. Without consciousness, space and time are nothing. At death, there’s a break in the continuity of space and time; you can take any time — past or future — as your new frame of reference and estimate all potentialities relative to it. In the end, even Einstein acknowledged that “the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” Life is just one fragment of time, one brushstroke in a picture larger than ourselves, eternal even when we die. This is the indispensable prelude to immortality.

“Time and space are but the physiological colors which the eye maketh,” said Ralph Waldo Emerson in his essay “Self-Reliance.” “But the soul is light; where it is, is day; where it was, is night.”

Biocentrism” (co-authored with astronomer Bob Berman) lays out Lanza’s theory of everything.

Are We HARD Wired for Happiness?

Is happiness a destination……a part of the adventure or but a momentary experience of elation in a slog through a life more ordinary…..than less?

And can our BRAINS be molded, shaped and sculpted to be happier.….through the power of positive thought…..or mental exercises like meditation and Yoga or can bliss can BLASTED through your biology through sex, DRUGS and rock and roll?  Where does happiness LIVE in the human brain….and if it has a home, can we shack up and stay for a while?

Here is a great article on the elusive pursuit of happiness…..and how our actual BRAINS play a bigger role (or not) in the adventure.

Always fascinating stuff to read…and hopefully, if your a bliss junkie like me, you’ll agree!  Enjoy..:-)

We can drink, ingest, inject, smoke, or snort substances that hijack our circuitry and offer us temporary transcendence, as well as the morning after, though we don’t remember that anywhere near as readily as we do the high. Thinking abstract thoughts and meditating can also tickle our mental fancy.

It appears that learning itself can give us a predictable rush. Apparently, evolution has rewarded us for learning to behave and think in certain ways by giving us a momentary “high” when we put the proverbial two and two together.“The pleasure circuit lights up when you take a bite of delicious food, have an orgasm, or use alcohol, tobacco, heroin, cocaine, or amphetamine, or when you’re taking part in virtuous behaviors like giving money to charity,” Linden says. “It’s all the same system.”Pleasure functions as a linchpin in many of our brain schemes, albeit one that we have to police a bit.

Because of the way evolution built our brains, pleasure works hand in hand with our associative memory. It’s why we tap our foot to that Captain and Tennille ditty we first heard at the dance where we met a now long-lost sweetheart, even though we usually have better taste in music. Since pleasure and learning are linked, scientists refer to pleasure as “reward,” something that shapes much of our behavior and can be measured in experiments on humans and rodents. We often work to learn how to repeat behaviors that set off clumps of neurons and the neurotransmitters, primarily dopamine, that flood several parts of our brain with a heady sensation—our gratifying reward for performing a certain act.

The SCIENCE of Out of Body Experiences – More Good OBE Research

As someone who is passionate about the paranormal, and excited and intrigued about exceptional human experiences, i can’t get enough good information about OBE’S, astral projection experiences, deep, transcendent life changing mystical experiences and just about ANYTHING unexpected that leads to a lifetime of transformation. (as most truly authentic transcendent experiences do)

Of course, the downside of this interest, is having to sift through all of the fantasy, the fiction…..and the FUGAZI reports that you know in your gut aren’t true at all.

Sound familiar? Of course, when it comes to understanding ANYONE else’s experiences…..it’s often not easy to indentify, and relate to stories that sound out of the ordinary…..or SO exceptional that they seem hard to buy, believe or bite on at all..

With that said, some of the very BEST out of body experience research has been done by the MONROE center and their many years of measuring states of expanded human potential, and awareness. Robert Monroe was truly a pioneer in the field of human conciousness and his books on his many amazing OBE’s are legendary. (and controversial, too!)

Check out some of the great videos the MONROE center shares about their decades of study into out of body states…and the supporting science that says it’s possible!

Enjoy!

In his book, “Far Journeys”, Bob Monroe introduced the concept of Escape Velocity . . . not in reference to his out-of-body experiences, but as a way of explaining how we can break away from the seemingly never ending Earth-life cycle. In his view, this was to be done by collecting “energy” from the original creative source during our lifetimes and thereby awaking consciousness and attaining escape velocity. He sometimes referred to the lack of escape velocity, and the subsequent Earth-life entrapment belief system, as being “terra-fied”. In Bob’s last book, “Ultimate Journey”, his nonphysical EXCOM or Executive Committee brought up the idea of Escape Velocity once again. Bob was told that as one attains this velocity, so to speak, one achieves freedom . . . not for just eternity but infinity . . . an interesting choice of words from EXCOM’s point of view.

Twinkie diet helps nutrition professor lose 27 pounds – CNN.com

Can you really lose weight on a Twinkie diet?

A Kansas State nutrition professor says YES..:-)  Mark Haub ate nothing but twinkies, powered donuts and high fat foods for 10 weeks and lost a WHOPPING 27 pounds….setting the blogosphere on fire with comments, critisisms and outrage over what many thought was a BAD example for struggling dieters everywhere.

What say you?  Think the idea of portion control……BUT, with the lattitude and freedom to eat ANYTHING you want is a good thing, or something that can’t last long in terms of the weight loss benefits people like Haub seemed to successfully navigate.  (and DO note….the good professor does NOT recommend others follow in his example, even though it DOES appear that simple calorie counting is all you need to lose LOTS of weight, even if you want to eat ALL of those calories in Twinkies and Twizzlers..:-)

Check out the full story at the link immediately below….along with an example day in the now INFAMOUS twinkie diet!  Enjoy..:-)

(CNN) — Twinkies. Nutty bars. Powdered donuts. For 10 weeks, Mark Haub, a professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University, ate one of these sugary cakelets every three hours, instead of meals. To add variety in his steady stream of Hostess and Little Debbie snacks, Haub munched on Doritos chips, sugary cereals and Oreos, too.His premise: That in weight loss, pure calorie counting is what matters most — not the nutritional value of the food.

The premise held up: On his “convenience store diet,” he shed 27 pounds in two months. For a class project, Haub limited himself to less than 1,800 calories a day. A man of Haub’s pre-dieting size usually consumes about 2,600 calories daily. So he followed a basic principle of weight loss: He consumed significantly fewer calories than he burned. His body mass index went from 28.8, considered overweight, to 24.9, which is normal. He now weighs 174 pounds. But you might expect other indicators of health would have suffered.

Not so.Haub’s “bad” cholesterol, or LDL, dropped 20 percent and his “good” cholesterol, or HDL, increased by 20 percent. He reduced the level of triglycerides, which are a form of fat, by 39 percent.”That’s where the head scratching comes,” Haub said. “What does that mean? Does that mean I’m healthier? Or does it mean how we define health from a biology standpoint, that we’re missing something?”Haub’s sample dayEspresso, Double: 6 calories; 0 grams of fatHostess Twinkies Golden Sponge Cake: 150 calories; 5 grams of fatCentrum Advanced Formula From A To Zinc: 0 calories; 0 grams of fatLittle Debbie Star Crunch: 150 calories; 6 grams of fatHostess Twinkies Golden Sponge Cake: 150 calories; 5 grams of fatDiet Mountain Dew: 0 calories; 0 grams of fatDoritos Cool Ranch: 75 calories; 4 grams of fatKellogg’s Corn Pops: 220 calories; 0 grams of fatwhole milk: 150 calories; 8 grams of fatbaby carrots: 18 calories; 0 grams of fatDuncan Hines Family Style Brownie Chewy Fudge: 270 calories; 14 grams of fatLittle Debbie Zebra Cake: 160 calories; 8 grams of fatMuscle Milk Protein Shake: 240 calories; 9 grams of fatTotals: 1,589 calories and 59 grams of fatDespite his temporary success, Haub does not recommend replicating his snack-centric diet.

Out of Body Experiences – What Can OBE Stories Teach us About Conciousness and Our Authentic Life’s Purpose?

I love reading out of body experience stories of others. They are uplifting, inspiring, enlightening and ultimately, they offer hope that there truly is a wonderful “world” of some sort waiting for that piece of each of us…..that is inexplicably eternal.

Having had a number of exceptional experiences myself…..I understand the difficulty in explaining, through words….the details of an unbelievable, amazing and life changing event. An out of body experience, whether you are skeptic, or a believer, or somewhere lost in between, is one of those experiences that ALL admit is something that changes us at our core. (the difference being…the BELIEVER thinks it’s real, and the skeptic, while acknowledging it’s power….thinks it’s an imaginary adventure that may change you, but not for REAL reasons..

Check out the OBE experience below…..it’s pretty exceptional, well written, humble and very easy to understand. I think, regardless of where you fall in the scale above, you’ll enjoy reading it as much as me!

Like a flash, my consciousness, or soul, or spirit, or ka, left my body. I was flying upward around the curved rim of the universe at an impossible speed faster than thought. I still had a body, but it was ethereal, light as a feather. I could see the small oval shapes of thousands of galaxies on my left as I sped past. A heartbeat later I was there.

In front of me was a long luminous table, like a raised dais, and seated there were beings bathed in light, but human in form. They had heads and bodies, but I could not make out their faces. Were they angels? Judges? I don’t know. I think there were ten of them. At least that is the number that is in my head. Then I began to spin like a top attached to a string, though my consciousness looked straight at them. I am spinning and looking straight ahead. How is that possible? And I began to weep. I must be dead, I thought, and began, without any prompting or question being asked, to recount the sins of my life, and they were many.

What is a JUICE Fast? Discover the Amazing Healing and Health Benefits of Feasting WITHOUT Food!

Is a juice fast healthy?

Is it hard…..hurtful or difficult on the body?  And if so….HOW so?  I’ve always found the idea of juice fasting, or going without solid food for a period of time to detoxify my body a VERY appealing option.  Want to know the truth?  Every time I RAN it by the more medically minded of my friends and family, they all scoffed at the idea…..and recommended I not follow through.  (mostly on account of it being a gimmick, or an unproven plan for cleansing, clearing and healing the body of anything at all.)

I got to admit though….every time I my curiosity picks back up and do a quick google search on juice fasting, i’m ALWAYS Inundated by amazing stories of personal empowerment, clarity and a rejuvenation that seems to defy what conventional medicine, seems to suggest is possible.

Want an example of an inspiring juice fasting story?  Check out the great site below……as this spiritual warrior did a 100 day juice fast, and looks strong, self sufficient and spiritually free for sure.  (i’m not 100% sure what spiritually free really looks like….but whatever it is, she’s got it..:-)

Enjoy…and if YOU’VE had a juice fasting experience, positive or negative, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

To my surprise, I picked it up and carried it into the house relatively easily. I feel more invincible than ever now!My digestion has improved, and my movements are longer and fuller. Another great benefit is that I am not as cold as I used to be.

I can tolerate going outside without a coat more readily now.For those of you beautiful light beings who want to attempt a 90 or 100 day juice fast, please know that I preceeded this effort with a series of fasts over a three year period. In other words, I have done numerous one-day juice and water fasts, three-day juice and water fasts, week-long juice and water fasts, a-thirty-eight (38) day juice fast, and a fifty-three (53) day juice fast that culminated with 17 days of water only–all this to prepare my body for going without food.

The main supplements I used this time were liquid B vitamins featuring B12 from premier research labs, liquid DHLA from premier research, tons of wheatgrass juice, and Dr. Gabriel Cousens systemic proteolytic enzymes to clean my blood. I also took niacin to heat my body up, and stave off being cold since I did this during the winter months.
